IRS Introduces Special Saturday Hours in Some Tax Assistance Centers Nationwide
To enhance customer service during tax season, the IRS has announced special Saturday hours for the next four months at specific Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) nationwide. These Saturday openings from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 24, March 16, April 13, and May 18 aim to accommodate individuals with busy weekday schedules. Over 50 locations are planned to be open on Feb. 24 and over 70 offices on March 16. During these Saturday hours, individuals can receive in-person assistance for various tax concerns, except for making cash payments. While tax return preparation is not offered at IRS TACs, information about available local free tax preparation options is provided. Taxpayers are encouraged to check IRS.gov for information about participating TAC locations and available services.
